Park Associates Acquires Boomer Well Service and Tuesday, July 8, 2008 Sam Anderson, Managing Director of The Dillard Anderson Group (DAG) announced the sale of Boomer Well Service, LLC and North Star Well Services, Inc., both of Woodward, Oklahoma, to Hancock Park Associates. Both Boomer and North Star are leading well service companies serving the active independent oil and gas producers of Western Oklahoma. Hancock Park Associates, with offices in Houston and Los Angeles, is a private equity investment firm, founded in 1986. Max Dillard, Managing Director of DAG commented "We were pleased to serve as exclusive financial advisors to Mr. Leon Ramirez, owner of Boomer and the three owners of North Star, Mr. Greg Jeter, Mr. Larry Pingry and Mr. Mike Mitchell. The combination of these two dynamic companies should result in the dominant provider of completion and workover services in the region, with a combined 36 workover and swab units. We are pleased that each of the owners has agreed to remain with the organization". The purchase price for the companies was not publicly disclosed. The Dillard Anderson Group is an investment banking firm which specializes in mergers and acquisitions in the oilfield service industry. The principals are Max M. Dillard and Sam R. Anderson. |
