Jen’s Oilfield Service, Inc. ("JOS"), of Edinburg, Texas, is an oilfield service company which specializes in the tools and service necessary for installing casing in oil and gas wells. The company was formed in 1981 by Mr. Jens Mortensen. Mr. Mortensen started the Company from scratch and built it into the largest independent casing service company in South Texas. He extended his operation into Mexico in the early 90’s, and quickly became the dominant provider of casing service to PEMEX. Mr. Mortensen approached DAG with the objective of pursuing a sale of the Company. DAG was retained, and successfully consummated a sale transaction to Allis-Chalmers Corporation (NASDAQ: ACLM) at a very attractive valuation. Mr. Mortensen retained a minority interest in the Company, and continues to run it from the headquarters in Edinburg, Texas. |
